The Tree of Life
Where do we come from? What were our ancestors like?
I’m always amazed that we are all from different roots. In 50 years our children’s children will be from different roots. They will have grown up with different traditions then we gave their parents. The cycle of life changes dramatically over a decade.
As a Christian I believe that we are all decendants of Adam and Eve. Our history is portrayed and narrated in the bible. It’s our guideline of how we once were. The laws and lifestyles.
Would our ancestors be proud of what we have become? More importantly, are we living a life that further generations would look back on and be amazed by?
The tree of life is a symbol of what God wants for us. To procreate, to pass on our generations with the love of Christ in our hearts.
It all starts with a seed. We grow that seed, we nourish it. We love it as our own. The seed will then spout into our view. We shape it and mold it. We hope that it blooms to be beautiful. But with beauty comes flaws. That is why we need the Lord in our hearts to show us how to overcome those flaws in ourselves and other people. And eventually we will have our tree of life. With our children and their children. We just hope that the tree of life can withstand the world and overcome the difficulty that our world faces today.
